New Music Monday For 3-8-10!
Mar 08, 2010 -- 10:14amHey hey hey! Here we are again with another Monday full of new Mix Music! First off, I hope your weekend went well. It was NICE out this weekend! I was able to bust out the flip flops yesterday. I love this time of year. A bit cool in the morning and evening but freaking awesome throughout the day. Secondly, remember my birthday is coming up March 31st...so...just keep thinking about what you're going to get me LOL Ok ok so maybe you don't have to get me anything but an email would be awesome! jared@mix965.net is my email address, so put that in your favorites today!
But let's get serious for a bit. It's time to talk about what you come here for, NEW MUSIC! Only two additions today, but they are definitely solid entries. Our first new track is by JLS called "Everybody In Love." I was hesitant at first, but upon hearing it, I have a feeling it could climb pretty quick. It's already jumped up from a week ago, from way down in the list to #33. Also being added is one of my favorite mix artists, Timbaland. The new track is called "If We Ever Meet Again" and it features the beautiful Katy Perry. Oh yes, I said she's beautiful. If you haven't seen what she looks like, do a Google image search. You'll know what I'm talking about. I follow her on Twitter as well and she cracks me up. What it is she sees in Russell Brand, I do not know but that's not anything I need to concern myself with hahaha. We're talking music anyway. This is a bit more uptempo but has a good beat, which is what Timbaland is known for. Some of his songs have the best beats and rhythms to them. Listen to Carry Out, you'll hear it.
We don't have any songs leaving us this week. Marked off on my list were the same from our previous installment of NMM, which were Uncle Kracker, Rob Thomas and Boys Like Girls w/ Taylor Swift. They tried to pop back in, but the door was closed on them. Maybe later guys, but for now, time for you to take a break. And I guess with that being said, its time for me to take a break and actually get some work done. Everybody have a great day and rest of the week. Looks like some rain coming in, so stay dry. And definitely keep thinking about the birthday gift for me. Wooo!! Til next time, take care!
New Music Monday For 3-1-10!
Mar 01, 2010 -- 10:21amIt is March! In like a lion? We'll just have to see. I like March. Springtime, Cardinals baseball and my birthday! Talk about a great trifecta! And we can even expand by mentioning March Madness! Christmas is awesome but I think this is the most wonderful time of the year hahaha. But let's go ahead and take a look at the first New Music Monday for March. Today we are welcoming a few new songs to the roster. First off, we have Lifehouse's latest "Halfway Gone." Next, we have LaRoux with "Bulletproof." Moving along, we've got Kevin Rudolf's latest. He's getting help from a star cast with Birdman, Jay Sean and Lil Wayne for a new track called "I Made It." Check it out soon! And last we have Jaicko with "Fast Forward (FFWD)" which is kind of catchy. Not sure how you guys will like it, but I guess we'll just see in time, right? We are saying goodbye to a few songs a well, some of which have been heavy hitters. First off is Jay-Z and Alicia Keys "Empire State of Mind." From the moment we added that song, I was hooked. Great song and a great cd by Jay-Z. Next is Boys Like Girls and Taylor Swift's "Two Is Better Than One." It fell HARD, going from the top 10 to out of the top 20. I have a feeling it will be back soon though, but for now they are going on the shelf. Rihanna and Young Jeezy "Hard" is also grabbing some bench to take a breath. Down at the bottom of our list we are letting Rob Thomas "Someday" and Uncle Kracker "Smile" break as well. But you never know when they'll all return. Thats it for today's edition. I'm going to make it somewhat brief, but now you know what to be listening for. Take care!
New Music Monday For 2-22-2010!
Feb 22, 2010 -- 10:19amHey hey hey!!! Here we go!! The LAST New Music Monday for February. Isn't that crazy!? Wow, that means its almost my birthday. Keep that in mind, I fully expect you guys to shower me with cards and gifts HAHA. Anywho its time to get into our new tunes for today. I'm only adding two new songs, however, looking beyond the master list I am seeing a few songs that may show up next week. I'll get into that in a minute. Our first new song is by Rihanna, titled "Rude Boy." I'm not sure if you've seen Saturday Night Live where she does "Shy Ronnie" with Andy Samberg, but when I read the name that's all I could think of. Honestly when I hear Rihanna anymore, I think about that skit. Check it out sometime! Our other addition is B.O.B and Bruno Mars (if you haven't heard of them either, its ok, you will have heard of them soon as this song will jump up pretty quickly) with "Nothin' On You." It's really catchy and I believe you will like it. Leaving us will be Britney Spears "3," which has enjoyed a VERY solid run, holding our top slot down for several weeks in a row and hanging in that top 10 for about 3 or 4 months. That's some staying power in this ever-changing world of music! Take care Britney. Also leaving our party is Uncle Kracker's "Smile" however I feel it will be coming back soon. He's still got some mileage left on that song, so expect it back before too long. Our #1 song again is Tik Tok by Ke$sha, but her newest track Blah Blah Blah with 3OH!3 is starting to climb. it's at #13. I wouldn't be surprised to see that song in the top 10 next week. The Script has also cracked into the top 20 and Lady Antebellum is just outside the top 10. Those are some big movers, along with Jason Derulo's lastest "In My Head." Looking farther down the list, OneRepublic's latest "All the Right Moves" is climbing hard, as is Taylor Swift's latest "Today Was a Fairytale." And one of my favorite new tunes "Carry Out" by Timbaland and Justin Timberlake is back in the top 20. I hope it gets into the top 10. I dig that song! Touching on what I said earlier about some out of the top 40 climbing, we've got two heavy hitters in Pink and Iyaz sitting right outside waiting to get in. Expect to see them within the next couple weeks. Well, I don't want to give anymore away, so you'll just have to stay tuned and listen for your favorite new Mix tunes! Take care!
New Music Monday For 2-15-2010
Feb 15, 2010 -- 10:15amHey everybody!! How are you today? Another snowy Monday. Is it just me or is the winter weather starting to get old? I loathe these days anymore, mostly because snow doesn't get me out of stuff like it used to. That automatically makes it bad haha. Oh well, I'm safe and sound where I needed to be so I hope that you guys are being safe and smart as well! Let's take a look at this week's new music shall we? On the addition end, we've got another song from Ms. Taylor Swift, her latest single "Today Was a Fairytale." It's already climbing up and I expect it to make a big impact in the next couple weeks. The other new track we have is "Break Your Heart" from Taio Cruz. He's finding a nice spot in our list. Leaving us will be Taylor Swift's "Fifteen" which had a very impressive run. Along with that, Britney Spears "3", Drake's "Forever" after returning for a week and "Someday" by Rob Thomas are all taking a leave of absence for the time being. Not to say we won't see them again, but its time for a break. Moving strong is Ke$ha's newest "Blah Blah Blah" as well as the latest from Lady Gaga, called "Telephone." She's getting help from Beyonce on that one, so you KNOW its gonna be big. Looking on down, The Script's "Breakeven" is making a big move, as well as "Say Aah" by Trey Songz. Both songs will be shooting towards the top 20 in no time! That's about it for today. I've got to get back to work, but you should stop by and check out the top 10 list and tune in today! Take care!
New Music Monday for 2-8-2010
Feb 08, 2010 -- 10:14amHey hey hey! Here we are again on a snowy Monday. Looking like it may cover us up a bit tonight with a few inches. I hope not, I'm tired of it but I can't halt weather. But here is something that I DO like, and that's new Mix music! We only added one new song today, which is "Say Aah" by Trey Songz and Fabolous. Welcome to the Mix family, Trey! And with each new Music Monday, we also have to say goodbye to a few people. Britney Spears will be leaving, as well as Kelly Clarkson, Kings of Leon and Shinedown. Not leaving for good, there's a chance to see them back again. It happened for Drake! Forever will be coming back for a bit as they got a bit of momentum. We had a few big movers on the chart as well. OneRepublic's "All The Right Moves" is gaining some big ground as of late, same with Ke$ha/3OH!3's "Blah Blah Blah." Orianthi is continuing her climb, moving up to #7 and she may be cracking the top 5 the next time we meet up here for NMM. You never can tell! Justin Bieber is continuing his meteoric rise with his latest single "Baby," and we're seeing Young Money make a big move as well. We can see how that all pans out next week, with another edition of New Music Monday. Until then, take care!
New Music Monday for 2-1-2010
Feb 01, 2010 -- 10:08amHey hey hey! Double J back here again with another awesome edition of New Music Monday! Before that, what did you all think of the snow this past weekend? Daaaaaang that was alot of snow! Most I've seen here in a while. But it did make for some good sledding (I may be grown in terms of my age, but I'll never really grow up hahaha.) I hope that everyone was safe in it and enjoyed it while they could. But now let's get down to business shall we? It's Monday, so let's take a look at our music charts. We're making several moves today, mostly in the dropping category. We're saying goodbye to 6 songs for the moment. Black Eyed Peas "Meet Me Halfway", Drake's "Forever," Shinedown's "If You Only Knew," Justin Bieber's "One Less Lonely Girl," "Never Gonna Be Alone" by Nickelback and "Heaven Can Wait" from We The Kings are all going adios. Now, that doesn't mean they're gone forever. You may hear them back on again by next week. But for the moment, those are the big droppers. Our adds are the latest single from Owl City, titled "Vanilla Twilight" which is picking up steam lately. Our other new song is "Blah Blah Blah" by Ke$ha and 3OH!3. I can see this song picking up quick since Tik Tok is our #1 song. Momentum works in a situation like that! We'll see how our new songs fare coming soon. Let us know what you think about them as well! Make sure you drop by our top 10 songs list as well to see where your favorite songs are sitting. That's all for today, but we'll be back next week with more New Music Monday action! Take care!
