BOOM...HEADSHOT!
Jan 27, 2010 -- 8:48pmHello!
So I had a rather interesting thing happen to me today. I was playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 online and I had a really good round of Team Deathmatch. Now, if you don't know much about the game, it's basically a shooting game set in the present. What is really fun about it is the online multiplayer aspect. You can go online and play on two teams of soldiers trying to kill each other. I know it sounds really vile and gruesome considering the fact that we have real soldiers dying for our country; but this is just pretend! I'm one of the least violent people you could ever know, yet I love this game. Anyway, I had a really good round where I went 28 and 4 (I had 28 kills and died only 4 times). That is really good for me; I'm not that great at the game. The weird thing was, after this round I intantly was in a better mood. I suddenly didn't care that it was a gloomy, rainy day and I just knew that the rest of the day would be good. It was a very strange feeling. I don't consider myself a hardcore gamer, but I have been playing video games most of my life, and I've never had that much gratification from a game. The whole experience was very strange!
well that's all for now. peace

Jan 18, 2010 -- 7:37pmHola!! So this whole Late Night TV situation has me a bit ruffled. In case you aren't familiar with it, here's a brief summary. In 2003 NBC made a deal with Conan O'Brien for him to take over for Jay Leno on the Tonight Show in 2009. Well 2009 rolled around and Leno was still doing really well (ratings wise) and so when Conan took over they moved Jay to primetime for a nightly show that would air at 9 pm. And now the Jay Leno Show as the new show was called, has failed. The ratings were bad and the show wasn't really a good fit at 9 o'clock. So then a couple of weeks ago NBC decided to move everyone back. Jay would move to the old time slot of 10:30 and have a half hour show and Conan would move to 11:00, Jimmy Fallon's show would start at 12:00 (all times are central). Well...Conan wanted no part of this. He wrote a letter basically saying that he wouldn't host the Tonight Show if it were moved. Below is a link to the letter.
And now here we sit, waiting to see what will happen. I don't know if this whole thing was initiated by Leno or NBC execs but whoever it was has really screwed Conan. His show is great and has been since he was on the Late Night show. And for him to be treated like this is crap. I really hope that if he can't work it out with NBC that he goes to FOX and starts a new show (this is what many news sources are saying could happen).
That is all.

Hola! So I'm going on a road trip to Alabama this weekend, and I'm pretty excited about it. Two of my best friends and i are headed down Tuscaloosa to visit another friend and it should be a great time. This is one reason I'm hoping that the Crimson Tide win on Thursday night against the Texas Longhorns. The main reason being that I'm a HUGE Texas A&M fan and that means that I think the Texas Longhorns deserve to fail miserably at any sport!!! So, hopefully the Tide Rolls and those in Tuscaloosa are in a partying mood, thus making our road trip all the better.
On another note, I can't stand UPS. You clear an afternoon because they say that they'll have your package on that day; maybe you've even checked the status of the package online and you know that it was in Scott City that morning...you wait and wait.........until you can't wait any longer because you have to go to work and entertain thousands on The Number Hit Music Station, Mix 96.5; and then when you get home at 11:30 pm you find that UPS came after you left for work!! BOOO, BOOO I say! What can Brown do for you? Not deliver a package, thats what!
Peace. AJ
I'll bump your sticker!
Dec 18, 2009 -- 7:08pmWhat's up? So this week has been a pretty busy one! I've had to come in early everyday to help out since Steve is camping out in front of the mall for the 96 Hours of Caring. AND...I've got a crazy busy Saturday coming up. I'm gonna be live at Carmart from 11-1 and then live at the Sprint store from 2-5, so come keep me company, maybe bring me a Red Bull; I'll need it!
Moving on, I think its about time for my first rant of the new blog. So the other day I'm at Rhodes getting my daily fill of sweet tea, and in the parking lot there were six cars that had either a McCain/Palin or Obama-08 sticker. Isn't it about time that people got rid of these things. In case you may not remember or know the exact dates, the election was over 13 months ago!!! I don't care who you support, when it comes to Presidential elections I pretty much subscribe to the South Park ideal (I'm refering to the episode where they vote on a new school mascot, if you know it, good for you)! If your car has a McCain/Palin, your guy lost, sucks for ya, get over it. If you car has an Obama sticker, your guy won, good for you, get over it. Seriously though, the election was over a YEAR ago. It's time to peel of the stickers. And if you're gonna try to argue any reason as to why you still have one of these sticker, then I ask why don't you still have an election sign in your yard?? Hmmm? Hmmm? And furthermore, why don't we see older stickers, why stop at the last election. Why doesn't anyone have a Reagan/Bush sticker still on there car?
Well I suppose that's enough for now. AJ
HI, HELLO!!
Dec 10, 2009 -- 7:38pmHello!!! AJ here.
So I'm not really sure what I'm gonna write about in the blog as time goes on, but I'm sure I'll find something. I enjoy a good rant, so chances are there will be some of those. They're silly though mostly, my rants.
Also, I tend to be pretty random so if you find yourself puzzled at some passage, fear not friendly Mix fan, I'm just a big goof ball!!!
I do hope that you'll leave comments and opinions about my posts. If you think I'm being a giant tool, tell me; and be sure to leave your phone number so I can prank call you! I'm just kidding, I wouldn't do that! Promise. Seriously though, if you agree or disagree about anything I say, let me know. I wanna know what you think!
Anyway, I suppose that's all for now.
I'm in Miami Trick!!!
