  • Cape Girardeau Heritage Days: USS LST Ship Memorial

    Description: A free presentation by Master Chief Engineer John Tallent will explain the WWII USS LST 325 (Landing Ship Tank) history including its operation and function in WWII, its use in Greece, and an epic voyage to return and become a historic memorial. The ship, docked at the Cape Girardeau riverfront, can be toured from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Sept. 29–Oct 3 for a small fee.
