  • Workshop for Summer Musical, 'Honk! Jr.'

    Where: Cape Girardeau, MO.
    Description: A small number of workshop openings are still available for youth interested in participating in "Honk Jr.," a dedicated musical with kids in the lead roles to be performed at Southeast's River Campus this summer. The cost is $350, which assists in covering the expenses of costumes, props, royalties, snacks, T-shirts and staff. The workshop runs May 31-June 19. The cast will perform in shows on the Donald C. Bedell Performance Hall stage on Friday, June 17, twice on Saturday, June 18, and on Sunday, June 19. Roles are open for actors ages 10 to 15. Starting May 31, kids will audition in the morning for roles. Beginning that afternoon at 1 p.m., they will have their first rehearsal. Junior high or high school students who would prefer to be more backstage and on the crew may also participate in the workshop.
