Frontiers of Mathematics

Professor Suzanne Lenhart (University of Tennessee) will give the public a rare opportunity to hear about the frontiers of mathematics in a way targeted for everyone to understand.

Lenhart will speak on using mathematics to understand biology, including her work at Oak Ridge National Laboratory to improve CPR, for which she received a patent. She will also talk about outreach and education projects like math and science camps for middle school girls and research opportunities for undergraduate college students.

Lenhart will speak in SIUC Morris Library’s Guyon Auditorium at 4:00 on Monday, May 15. The event is free and open to the public.
