One of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s finest works, Sikeston little Theatre is proud to present “The King and I”. This musical boasts beloved classical songs such as “Getting to Know You”, “Shall We Dance” and “Something Wonderful”. The story is set in 1860’s Bangkok, Siam (now Thailand) where Anna and her son embark on a new adventure: Anna has taken a position as the school teacher for the children of the King of Siam. This is a radiant story of East meets West, where cultures clash but ultimately Anna and the King teach each other about understanding, respect, and love that can transcend the greatest of differences.
